Phase 1: Site Meeting and
Measuring of Existing Building:
This
initial meeting is to get a feeling for the client’s spatial requirements
and design expectations. A
walkthrough of the property and existing residence will follow to inspect
the condition of the existing residence.
If the original blueprints are not available, we would then proceed
at surveying the building. Once
the building surveyed, we would return to our office to begin drafting the
existing drawings. The initial
visit’s fee is based on an hourly rate plus kilometres. A
minimum of 3 hour charge applies for the initial site visit.
Phase
2: Program & Design
This phase is a very difficult one to assess due to the very personal
likes and dislikes of each individual. The original consultation will have
brought up some spatial and cosmetic requirements. We then implement those
ideas to a functional, cosmetically appealing and cost efficient design.
A series of meetings, telephone and email conversations will incur
while we tidy-up the design. In
some cases the design is approved very quickly, in other cases it may take a
few attempts before achieving the perfect design for you.
